Myyna: an AI assistant for WhatsApp work groups
Teams in Pakistan run on WhatsApp groups. Orders, promises and deadlines get buried in hundreds of messages and voice notes. Myyna is the assistant we built to read those groups and keep track of who said they would do what.
- Client: Myyna (Digital Tribe product)
- What we built: WhatsApp work-group assistant, Urdu and Roman Urdu voice-note understanding, Task and commitment tracking, Daily summaries for owners
The problem
Owners were losing track of commitments made in group chats. Much of the conversation happens in Urdu and Roman Urdu voice notes, which off-the-shelf tools cannot read, so important details never reached a task list.
What we built
- An assistant that reads work-group messages and voice notes and picks out tasks, owners and deadlines.
- Urdu and Roman Urdu voice-note handling, so field and sales staff can talk instead of type.
- Daily summaries for owners showing what was promised, what is done and what is overdue.
- A read-only design: it watches and reports, and does not post into the group unless asked.
How we measured it
We tested Myyna against real work-group messages with known correct answers. It found 81% of the real tasks (recall), and 97% of the tasks it flagged were correct (precision). Running cost works out to about Rs 3 per answer.
We publish the accuracy numbers because we measured them. Ask any AI vendor for theirs.
